Behaviour Education Workshops are available for schools or clusters wanting to train their whole staff. Small schools can combine with others to make up numbers.
The one-day workshops require 20-50 participants and are broken into 3 × 1.5 hour sessions with breaks between each session for morning tea and lunch.
The workshops give educators a hands-on experience of the Play Is The Way® methodology. Attendees will participate in activities and games that illustrate the benefit of the Pathway To Empathy Virtues, Life Raft Concepts and reflective language. Through their own reactions, educators will discover why the games make a powerful tool for behaviour education.
The workshop is free of power point presentations and is filled with insights, observations and strategies.
Teachers don’t need to be sporty or fit to attend the workshop but simply be willing to play, enjoy and benefit. Just dress comfortably and reap the rewards.

| WHO SHOULD ATTEND |
It is strongly recommended that all staff (teachers, aides, specialist teachers, assistants, chaplains, welfare officers and administration staff who have regular contact with children) attend the workshop. By doing so, a whole school culture can be more easily established to support and propel the program. |
| DURATION |
6 hours broken into 3 x 1.5 hour sessions with breaks for morning tea and lunch. (9am-3pm is the usual format) |
| COST |
$140 per person. A minimum of 20 participants is preferred to run a workshop. Numbers will be counted on the day and charged accordingly. Participants choosing to only attend a part of the workshop will be charged the full fee. Travel charges will be quoted on an individual basis. | VENUE REQUIRED |
A large open space (approximately 150 to 200M2). An individual chair will be required for each participant. A trestle table or similar is requested for the display of resources. If the venue is very large (gym, hall) and acoustically poor or there is noisy air-conditioning or fans or the possibility of intrusive, external noise, a PA system will be required. If possible, a headset microphone is preferred or a lapel mic. If not possible, a wireless hand held microphone will help. |
| DRESS REQUIREMENTS |
Participants should dress comfortably. Although the workshop is participatory, all participants regardless of fitness, skill level or age can benefit from and enjoy the workshop. |
| RESOURCES |
PLAY IS THE WAY® resources will be on display at the workshop. Participants placing orders for resources on the day of the workshop will receive a discount. Schools making bulk purchases of the PLAY IS THE WAY® complete program will receive additional discounts. |
